Week 7 - Corel Painter & Animation

Today I experimented with the animation options available in Corel Painter.
I started with an image I took of my friend Margret and then used different brushes, textures and effects to create this short movie.

Week 10 - Video Art / Final Cut Pro

During today's class I experimented with Final Cut Pro using a few simple video recordings I filmed of the blur and static on my television. I liked the different and interesting patterns that formed whilst flicking through different channels and wanted to capture this and put them together into one video.

Week 8 - Video Art

We looked at video art and the potential to create our digital arts with this.
After looking at Videoartworld.com I found the most appealing videos to me were the 1st generation artists of the 60's and 70's.
I looked at artists such as Marcel Duchamp, Luis Bunuel, Man Ray....
Here is an old surrealist video, titled 'Un Chien Andalou'. I watched this many times before but I wanted to include this in my blog as it is something that has always inspired me. I couldn't find the full version on you tube, but here is a section of it were the females eyeball is sliced.
